Brain Power OilBrain Power Promotes deep concentration and channels physical energy into mental energy. It also increases mental potential and clarity, and long-term use may retard the aging process. Many of the oils in this blend are high in sesquiterpene compounds that increase activity in the pineal, pituitary, and hypothalamus glands and thereby increase output of growth hormone and melatonin. This specially designed blend of BP has been shown to cross the blood-brain barrier. The oils also help dissolve petrochemicals that plug the receptor sites, clearing the brain fog that people experience due to exposure to synthetic petrochemicals in food, skin and hair care products, and air. Ingredients Frankincense (Boswellia carteri) stimulates the limbic part of the brain, which elevates the mind, helping to overcome stress and despair. It is used in European medicine to combat depression. Sandalwood (Santalum album) is high in sesquiterpene compounds which stimulate the pineal gland and the limbic region of the brain, the center of our emotions and memory. Used traditionally in yoga and meditation. Melissa (Melissa officinalis) stimulates the limbic part of the brain, the emotional center of memories. Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica) is high in sesquiterpenes, which stimulate the limbic part of the brain, the center of emotions & memory. It stimulates the pineal gland, which releases melatonin, thereby improving thoughts, cognition, & memory. Blue Cypress (Callitris intratropica) improves circulation and increases the flow of oxygen to the brain, stimulating the amygdala, pineal gland, pituitary gland, and hypothalamus. Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has been documented to improve concentration and mental acuity. University of Miami researchers found that inhalation of LO increased beta waves in the brain, suggesting heightened relaxation. It also reduced depression and improved cognitive performance (Diego et al., 1998). A 2001 Osaka Kyoiku University study found that lavender reduced mental stress and increased alertness (Motomura et al.,). Helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum) helps improve circulation and stimulate optimum nerve function. Enhances awareness and cognition and helps release feelings of anger, that allows one to gain focus and concentration. Application Possible skin sensitivity. Diffuse, directly inhale, or add 2-4 drops to bath water. Apply 1 to 2 drops on neck, throat, temples, back of neck, the soles of the feet, under the tongue or under nose. Apply 1 or 2 drops with a finger on insides of cheeks in mouth. Put 2 drops on a wet cloth and put in clothes dryer. Put 4-8 drops on cotton ball and locate on vents. Applied over the back of the neck, on the temples, Researchers have been astonished to discover how essential oils support proper blood circulation, not only in the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the tissues, but also in assisting in the disposal of toxic waste from the tissues. The constituents found in various oils have the ability to increase both, the efficiency of oxygen absorption within cells and the utilization of oxygen from other sources such as food and water. Brain Power! How many of you would love to have better memory and mental stamina - in short, better brain power? Do you look at your children or grandchildren and realize that they are struggling to think, to study, remember, to comprehend? The reason for many of these problems can be traced to the chemical saturation we face in our society today. We are inhaling chemicals through the air we breathe. We are putting chemicals on our hair in the shampoos and in our hairsprays, colorings, and perms. We are putting chemicals on our bodies with soaps, perfumes, colognes, and aftershaves. When people ingest and inhale as many toxic chemicals as we do today, it causes problems and a whole range of health challenges, one of which is something I call "brain fog". The chemicals plug receptor sites, making it difficult or impossible for our bodies to respond to stimuli as they should. When it comes to our brains, we often find we can't think as clearly as we once could and we can't remember - we just aren't as we should be. Fortunately, essential oils have the ability to digest chemicals in the human body. They have the ability to go in and clean up receptor sites and to nourish neurotransmitters so they are able to support normal, healthy neurological function. That's why I call essential oils "the Missing Link". They work, and they are so easy to use, both on our bodies and through diffusion. When they are massaged or applied directly, they are absorbed into our tissues. When they are diffused into the atmosphere of our homes or offices, we breathe in their healthful effects through our nasal and buccal cavities.
